British footwear firm Clarks ties up with Roblox to enter metaverse

British footwear company Clarks has announced its entry into the metaverse with Cicaverse, an immersive gaming experience developed in collaboration with online game platform Roblox and metaverse development studio Melon. Cicaverse celebrates the brand’s unisex trainer style – Cica. Clarks is holding a virtual sports tournament on the platform.

Clarks has also set up a virtual store in Cicaverse that allows players to get new virtual footwear with customisations to boost their gameplay and make their avatars stand out in the crowd.

“Step inside the Clarks Stadium and get set for the sports tournament of a lifetime! It's time to take on your friends and see who can grab the highest scores - from showing off your slickest BMX tricks and breakdance skills to racing to the Parkour finish line,” Clarks said on its website.

Cicaverse features athletes like UK parkour champion Robbie Griffith, UK breakdancer B-Girl Terra and BMX rider Connor Stitt.

Players who master the tough games in the Cicaverse will also stand a chance of winning a virtual accessory from the Cicastore, in real life, the company said.
