New NFT apparel & sneaker collections enter metaverse

Italian luxury fashion brand Gucci recently partnered with metaverse app Zepeto to make its digital collection available for Zepeto users, while American apparel maker Champion Athleticwear partnered with Tafi to launch an exclusive collection of 888 Champion apparel and accessory Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). American Eagle Outfitters has also debuted in the metaverse with Roblox.
NXTG3NZ, co-founded by Lil Durk, Satoshi Designs and Nexus, is also launching 7220 NXTG3NZ NFT digital sneakers that can be used on avatars across the digital realm.
UNXD, a curated marketplace for digital luxury and culture, recently raised $4 million in funding from a list of crypto-native investors to create the future of luxury and culture in the metaverse. The company will use the funds to expand its studio team, brand partnerships team, and community team to build the ecosystem for crypto-native fashion and luxury.

Gucci has also become one of the first few luxury brands to acquire a plot of land on The Sandbox, a virtual metaverse where players can play, build, own and monetise their virtual experiences as part of an interactive expansion of Gucci Vault, the company’s experimental concept store.
